Skyforger is the ninth studio album by Finnish heavy metal band Amorphis. It is unique to previous Amorphis albums because, although it is a concept album, it is not based on a single episode of the Kalevala; instead, it is based on different parts of several episodes told from the main character's point of view.[1]

Like Amorphis's previous two albums, Eclipse and Silent Waters, Skyforger was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki.[2] The cover of the album bears a striking resemblance to that of A Static Lullaby's album Faso Latido.[3]
